NAI Carolantic Realty is pleased to congratulate Jake Plotkin, on achieving Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) status. A CCIM individual is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. This designation is earned after successfully completing an in-depth educational process to ensure they are proficient not only in theory, but also in practice. Their curriculum covers ethics, interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. CCIM is a global network with members across North American and more than 30 countries.
"We are very proud of Jake for his dedication and commitment to achieving this prestigious designation. He is a very committed commercial real estate broker and has a strong financial background having received a BS in Business Management-Finance at NC State University. He is a valued member of our team," said Steve Stroud, Chairman of NAI Carolantic.
Mr. Plotkin has worked with several regional investors to buy and sell multiple properties.

NAI Carolantic Realty is pleased to congratulate one of our brokers, Dee Creech Osborne, SIOR, on winning an award at the 8th Annual 2011 Movers & Shakers event presented by Business Leader media. Ms. Osborne was among 50 recipients of the award presented in recognition of their unwavering dedication to their community and excellence in leadership in the Triangle. Over 200 people attended the event held on October 6th at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh.
New Broker Joins NAI Carolantic Realty
NAI Carolantic Realty is pleased to welcome Hunter Stewart who has recently joined the firm as a Broker. "We are pleased to have Hunter join our Retail Services Division. He is a well-rounded, positive and trustworthy individual who will serve our clients well," said Steve Stroud, SIOR, Chairman of NAI Carolantic Realty. Prior to joining NAI Carolantic, Mr. Stewart was a Business Strategy Analyst with The Fresh Market at their headquarters location in Greensboro.
Originally from Sanford, Mr. Stewart completed his Master of Business Administration at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at ASU. As a quarterback for the ASU football team, Mr. Stewart played a part in the team winning three national championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007 which included the historic win over Michigan. We are pleased to have Hunter join our team at NAI Carolantic.
New Broker Joins NAI Carolantic Realty
NAI Carolantic Realty is pleased to welcome Shane Bull who has recently joined the firm to become Director of the company's new Retail Services Division. "We are pleased to have Shane join our team and lend his expertise to establishing our Retail Division. His previous brokerage and business experience will be invaluable to our retail clients," said Steve Stroud, SIOR, Chairman of NAI Carolantic Realty. Mr. Bull is knowledgeable regarding all facets of commercial real estate but has primarily focused on the retail sector specializing in retail tenant representation, shopping center and mixed-use property leasing and sales.
Having over 15 years of business experience and over three years as a commercial real estate broker, Mr. Bull has handled over $5.6 million in commercial lease transaction value and $3.4 million in purchase value. A few of his select clients include RadioShack, Rocky Top Hospitality, Smoothie King, and West Developers.
NAI Carolantic Realty Brokers Receive TCAR Frontier Awards
Eight NAI Carolantic brokers were presented with awards on March 3rd at the 2011 Triangle Commercial Association of Realtor's Annual Frontier Awards breakfast. E. Stephen Stroud, SIOR, Chairman of the firm and Ed Brown, SIOR, CCIM were two of only five brokers presented with special Lifetime Million Dollar Club awards in their respective specialties. The requirement was they must have received a Million Dollar award five times over seven years in a row. This was the first year for brokers to be inducted into the Lifetime Million Dollar Club. Moss Withers, broker with NAI Carolantic was presented with the Rising Star award. This award is given to a member who has been in the industry for three years or less, has demonstrated leadership qualities, involvement in the community, and a high level of production during his or her years in the commercial real estate industry. The TCAR event, held at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, was established to recognize deal makers and community leaders.

Million Dollar Sales Club
E. Stephen Stroud, SIOR and Ed Brown, SIOR, CCIM, were recognized for membership into TCAR's 2010 Million Dollar Sales Club. Entrance into the Million Dollar Sales Club was determined by a broker having had total sales in excess of $5,000,000.
Million Dollar Land Sales Club
Jim Adams, Ed Brown, CCIM, SIOR, Mark Everett and E. Stephen Stroud, SIOR were recognized for membership into TCAR's 2010 Million Dollar Land Sales Club. Entrance into this club was determined by generating a minimum of $2.5 million in aggregate land sales volume.
Million Dollar Retail Leasing Club
Joaquin Canals was recognized for membership into TCAR's 2010 Million Dollar Retail Leasing Club. Entrance into this club was determined by two of three factors: total leasing volume of $3 million or more, 10 or more transactions for the year, and/or leases totaling a minimum of 50,000 rentable square feet.
Million Dollar Industrial Leasing Club
Ed Brown, SIOR, CCIM, Dee Creech Osborne, SIOR, David Stroud and John Webster were recognized for membership into TCAR's 2010 Million Dollar Industrial Leasing Club. Entrance into this club was determined by two of three factors: total leasing volume of $2 million or more, 5 or more transactions for the year, and/or leases totaling a minimum of 50,000 rentable square feet.
NAI Carolantic Realty Brokers Receive TCAR Frontier Awards

We are pleased to congratulate seven NAI Carolantic brokers who were presented awards at the 2010 Triangle Commercial Association of Realtor’s Annual Frontier Awards breakfast. E. Stephen Stroud, SIOR, Chairman of the firm was given a special award for the “Sales Transaction of the Year” for the $21+ million sale of Albemarle Plantation in Hertford, NC. Kerry Saunders, Director of Marketing & Research for NAI Carolantic was given the “William P. Eyerman Award” which was established in honor of the late Bill Eyerman and is awarded to a TCAR Associate member that has made a significant impact within the commercial real estate industry. The TCAR event, held at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, was established to recognize deal makers and community leaders.

Million Dollar Office Leasing Club
Robin Roseberry Anders, SIOR; Dee Creech Osborne, SIOR; and John Webster were recognized for membership into TCAR's 2009 Million Dollar Office Leasing Club. Entrance into this club was determined by two of three factors: total leasing volume of $5 million or more, 10 or more transactions for the year and/or leases totaling a minimum of 100,000 rentable square feet.
Million Dollar Industrial Leasing Club
Ed Brown, SIOR, CCIM, and David Stroud (not pictured) were recognized for membership into TCAR's 2009 Million Dollar Industrial Leasing Club. NAI Carolantic Realty is pleased to congratulate two brokers on winning awards at the 12th Annual Champion Awards hosted by Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW). Steve Stroud, SIOR, Chairman of the firm received the first Powerhouse Award, and Robin Roseberry Anders, SIOR, received the Best Professional Commercial Real Estate Service Award. Over 350 business leaders attended the event held on April 29th at the Sheraton Imperial in RTP.
“For over 38 years, Steve has worked tirelessly for his clients and is definitely a ‘Powerhouse’ having completed some of the largest transactions in our region and throughout North Carolina. Robin exemplifies all the recipient of this award should be. She is a tremendous asset to our team and is highly regarded in our industry. The Powerhouse award is presented to an individual in the commercial real estate industry who in 2009, demonstrated extraordinary leadership and/or has achieved extraordinary work volume or value. The Best Professional Commercial Real Estate Service Award is given to an individual who provides the best professional commercial real estate service, with consideration for industry knowledge, leadership ability, negotiating skills, work ethic and creativity.
NAI Carolantic Realty Chairman, Steve Stroud Awarded Top Land Sales Transaction of the Decade
At the 2010 Triangle Business Journal Space Awards, held on January 29th at the North Hills Country Club, Steve Stroud was awarded the top land sales transaction of the decade for the assemblage of property for the 5401 North project. Commercial Properties Realty Trust of Baton Rouge, LA purchased a total of 413 acres in northeast Raleigh in two separate transactions which combined totaled $39 million. It was the most money paid for an assemblage of property in the past ten years. A proposed $750 million dollar mixed-use development called 5401 North is planned at the intersection of I-540 and NC 401.
